The Last Incarnation is a fantasy novel written by author J.A. Giunta. It was first published on February 25, 2005, by Booklocker Inc., with a second edition by Brick Cave Media following in 2012. It is the first novel in The Ascension Trilogy, followed by The Mists of Faeron in 2012 and Out of the Dark in 2016.
Plot summary
When King’s Agents Simon Buckley and Haldron Stonebender raid a suburban farmhouse, they expect to find an illegal bomb factory full of Orc terrorists. Instead, they end up killing the sister of the current Elf ruler, turning a straightforward police raid into an international incident.
Now, Simon and his team must battle terrorists, gangsters, and their own superiors to find the truth behind the High-Elf’s involvement and avert a war.1
